Sierraform Specially for greens and tees Sierraform with Contec technology combines fast working nitrogen with slow release methylene urea in a single tiny granule (0.7-1.4 mm). This guarantees an even and constant supply of nutrients. The small homogeneous granule has a number of advantages for greenkeepers: significant longevity (about 8 to 10 weeks), low risk of scorching thanks to the slow release fertiliser, and a reduction in the leaching of nitrogen, thereby sparing the environment. Because fast working nitrogen, slow release nitrogen, phosphate and potassium are all combined in a single small granule, all the grass plants receive exactly the same balance of N, P and K, resulting in a more even growth pattern and colour. Spreading on fine turf Tests have shown that, when applied as Sierraform with Contec technology has a distribution pattern with almost twice as many granules per square metre as other fertilisers. So each grass plant receives the same dose of N, P and K with much more granules per sq m.
Sierrablen For tees, fairways and sports fields Scotts offers you a complete range of fertiliser for tees, fairways and sports fields under the name Sierrablen. The Sierrablen products have been developed on the basis of two advanced Scotts coating techniques: resin coating, and/or Poly-S dual biodegradable coating of sulphur and a polymer. The resin and Poly-S coating guarantee continuous releases of nutrients. The principle of both coating technologies is based on moisture penetrating the granule and the nutritional elements being dissolved immediately after the application of the fertiliser. They are released gradually over a period from 2-3 or up to 8-9 months, depending on the chosen Sierrablen analysis. With controlled release of the nutrients, the turf grass receives the nutrients it requires every day. The thickness of the coating and the temperature advantage of controlled release fertilisers is that the leaching of nitrogen and other nutrients is considerably lower than conventional fertilisers, thereby increasing efficiency and protecting the environment. Landscape Special
Sierrasol Sierrasol represents Scotts premium water soluble fertiliser technology – in solution it can be directly absorbed by the leaf or roots. With the addition of M-77, an exclusive chelating agent that stimulates root hair development, the yields from Sierrasol are fast and obvious. One all-purpose analysis has been selected for Australian turf from an extensive range of analysis that are used by Scotts commercial horticulture customers. In horticulture and turf industries alike, Scotts water soluble fertiliser technology is internationally recognised for its high purity and reliable performance. Use Sierrasol as a foliar or soil applied liquid fertiliser. At rates below 0.9kg/100m², Sierrasol can be left on turfgrass for foliar uptake. At higher rates of application, Sierrasol can be irrigated into soil for root uptake.
Sportsmaster The Sportsmaster range contains a number of products that can be flexibly employed, so that the optimal fertilisation programme can be put together in a cost effective manner. Scotts Sportsmaster is a value proposition, where controlled release technologies are blended with conventional nutrient fertilisers to produce a compromise between the full controlled release of Sierrablen nitrogen, and the undesirable surge growth produced by conventional fertiliser applications. In addition, the Sportsmaster range contains a unique methylene urea product (27 + 1 + 3), specifically designed with a granule size that accommodates spreading on fairways, sports fields and other broadacre turf areas.
Sierracare Scotts are experts at developing useful plant protection products and combinations of plant protection products and fertilisers. Using unique coating and impregnation technology, Scotts combine slow release fertilisers with chemical active ingredients to produce duel purpose products, specifically designed to improve chemical performance with simultaneous delivery of slow release nutrition. A key benefit associated with combination products is that they are dry and granular formulations, making them safe and easy to handle and apply without the need for spray suits and respirators. Combination products reduce exposure risk after application and spills are easily cleaned and reused. Additionally, since the application rates of the fertiliser and chemical are matched by Scotts at formulation, each granule carries only a dilute concentration of chemical. Practically speaking, this means the products are not classified as dangerous goods and no special arrangements need to be made for transport and storage.
Sierraseed The Scotts Company have a 125 year history of breeding and development of turfgrass varieties for golf and sportsturf application. In 1994 Scotts began to work with NZ agronomists and farmers to set up a production program to service the southern hemisphere with Scotts turf seed varieties. Scotts NZ grown seed is of world standard for turf seed quality, purity and germination reliability.
