Trichoderma in action.

Predatory fungi to improve the balance between desired and undesirable microorganisms on the leaf surface and in the soil.

TrichoShield™ is a talc-based formulation containing the predatory fungal species Trichoderma harzianum, Trichoderma lignorum and Gliogladium virens, and the plant growth stimulating bio-balancing bacteria, Bacillus subtilis. Trichoderma is also a root growth stimulator.

Packaging:

Typical Analysis:

• 1 x 10¹° per gram of the species Trichoderma harzianum, Trichoderma lignorum, Gliocladium virens and Bacillus subtilis.

Application Rates (refer to label as well)

Seed Treatment:

• Dry - Mix in 5g of TrichoShield™ per kg of seed. Slurry - Add 5g of TrichoShield™ to 100mls of water per seed. Air dry before sowing.

Cuttings:

• Mix 50g of TrichoShield™ in 5 litres of water and use as a dipping solution. Include 50g of Nutri-Kelp powder dissolved in the mix for hormonal stimulation.

Seedling Treatment:

• Dip seedlings in a solution of 200g of TrichoShield™ per 50 litres of water prior to planting.

Commercial Growers:

• Apply 100g of TrichoShield™ per 200 m² with first irrigation.

Compost:

• Mix 1 kg of TrichoShield™ with 100 - 500kg of compost per hectare.

Fertigation or boom spray:

• Dilute 1 kg of TrichoShield™ in 2 litres of water. Stand for 1 hour, screen and add to 100 - 200 litres of water per hectare (or apply via fertigation tank).

Foliar applications:

• Dilute 1 kg of TrichoShield™ in 2 litres of water. Stand for one hour, screen then add to 300-400 litres of water per hectare.

Crop Storage:

• Dip fruit, potato seeds etc prior to storage in a solution containing 500g of TrichoShield™ and 1000 litres of water.

Foliar applications of TrichoShield™ should always include Nutri-Life Bio-Plex and crop-specific Nutri-Tech Triple Ten, as Trichoderma need nitrogen to survive, and this can be provided by the Azotobacter in Nutri-Life Bio-Plex. Both Trichoderma and Azotobacter will benefit from the phosphorus, iron, molybdenum and micro-nutrients in the Triple Ten formulation.

Information:

• Do not apply in conjunction with toxic chemicals. Allow 3-4 days before applying.
• Do not apply with soil fumigants. If fumigating, apply after re-entry period has passed.
• Do not foliar spray with oil based wetter-stickers.
• Nutri-Life TrichoShield™ is compatible with most NTS fertilisers and microbial preparations.
• Spray tanks must be chemical free. To clean equipment, make 1 % urea solution (1 kg per 100 litres of water). Fill tank and spray hoses and let sit overnight. Then empty and rinse.
• TrichoShield™ is approximately 30% of the cost of equivalent formulations.
• All living microbes should be added to a liquid mix last, ie. after all other products are diluted.
• It is very important to realise that high pressure rates with spray equipment can damage or destroy beneficial microorganisms. Try not to exceed pressures of 60 psi.
