Information:
- pH-neutralised phosphorous acid and potassium can help to size up fruit when used as a foliar spray.
- Potassium governs stem strength and calibre (thickness). It plays a major role in determining the number of fruit that are set and the subsequent size of the fruit.
- Potassium regulates opening and closing of stomata and is an essential element for the production of starch, sugar and oil. Potassium increases the yield of tubers and seed crops.
- Phosphorous acid is not an immediately available source of phosphate, but is slowly converted to a useable form and recent U.S. research suggests that it can be as effective as phosphate when used as a foliar fertiliser.
