MEND (LCI)

Billions of beneficial's for bio-balancing the soil and the leaf while magnifying nutrient availability - compost tea made easy.

Microbially Enhanced Nutrient Delivery (MEND™) refers to a phenomenon where a diverse range of billions of beneficial micro-organisms can be utilised to dramatically improve fertiliser response which reducing fertiliser requirements. MEND (LCI) - Liquid Compost Inoculum is one part of a revolutionary new compost twin-pack, which also includes a separate microbe food input. MEND (LCI) involves a microbe-dense compost which has been micronised, liquefied and stabilised with a unique technology that retains the very high microbe numbers throughout the process.

Benefits:

  • Contains a massive number of beneficial micro-organisms.
  • Provides significant reductions in fertiliser requirements.
  • Easy to use and cost effective.
  • Can improve soil structure and tilth.
  • Reactivates the decay cycle.
  • Releases locked-up nutrients.
  • The MEND™ microbes produce beneficial metabolites including plant growth stimulants, vitamins and bio-balancing substances.
  • Compost tea has become hugely popular, due to its capacity to balance biology.
  • BFA Certified Organic (AI456).

Application Rates:

Fertigation:

  • 5 to 15 Litres per hectare

Seed Treatment:

  • 10 Litres per hectare

Foliar:

  • Broadacre: 2 litres per hectare
  • Small crops: 3 to 5 litres per hectare
  • Orchards: 5 to 7 litres per hectare

Tea Brewing:

  • Add to the Compost Tea brewing tank at 1 litre per 100 litres (1%). NOTE: MEND™ LCI can also be used as a broad-spectrum biological fertiliser without brewing.

Information:

  • Some of the microorganisms in compost tea can be damaged with high pressure during application. Try to apply it at around 60 psi. Do not exceed 60 psi.
  • Living liquids will always be affected by chemical residues. Make sure that your spray tank is sterilised before use. Use Nutri-Gen (50% hydrogen peroxide) diluted at 1:100.
  • Bio-Balancing is a numbers game - regular applications of compost tea are often necessary to allow for attrition rates in the toxic environment of conventional agriculture.
  • Always include some form of nutrition with all compost tea applications to take advantage of the MEND™ phenomenon.
