Huma-Tech Stabilised Boron Granules™

When boron, the most leachable of trace elements, is stabilised and retained for the full crop cycle, the crop response can be remarkable.

Boron as 10% B203 has been fused with humates and is presented as a 2 to 4 mm granule for easier application. Boron is the most unstable of the trace elements and is easily leached from the soil (particularly in low-humus soils). Humic acid can fuse with boron to form a stable boron humate, which can ensure a good supply of boron in the root zone for the full crop cycle.

When boron is humate-stabilised you should never have these kinds of deficiency problems.

Benefits:

  • Boron is complexed into a humate colloid to create a slow-release response.
  • Boron increases calcium efficiency and like calcium, is involved in cell wall strength and is important for good root development.
  • Boron plays a critical role during the pollination stage of the reproduction process and the presence or lack of this element at this time can dramatically influence yield.
  • A 2 - 4 mm granule can be combined with any granular fertiliser mixes to simplify application. Unlike traditional boron sources, this product can be safely included with seed.
  • The humate component of this fertiliser offers many benefits in its own right (refer to Huma-Tech Soluble Humate Granules data).
  • BFA certified organic

Application Rates:

  • Soil Broadcast:
    10 - 25 kg per hectare
  • Seed Treatment:
    2 - 5 kg per tonne
  • Planting Blends:
Include at 7% of fertiliser rate, ie. 7kg of stabilised boron granules with every 100 kg of granular fertiliser.

Information:

  • Ideal in light soils where boron is poorly retained.
  • Perfect for soils with low organic matter, ie. humus is the boron storehouse.
  • Should always be used in tropical soils with high rainfall.
