Brixmaster™

Exploring the yield-building, bio-balancing potential of high-brix plants.

Brixmaster™ is a specifically formulated foliar product that has evolved in response to hundreds of leaf analyses reports. From early flowering through to fruit fill it is clearly evident through leaf data that certain nutrients are often lacking. The flowering/fruiting stage of the crop is a notoriously potassium-hungry time and subsequently potassium often represents the most serious shortage. Potassium is also a little recognised but vitally important nutrient for building brix levels. Calcium, phosphorus, potassium and, to a lesser extent, nitrogen are the main brix-building elements and as brix levels are a guide to yield potential, these are the main yield-limiting elements when they are deficient. It is also a recognised fact that a plant with high brix levels presents a leaf surface which is less attractive to insects.

Information:

  • Brixmaster™ has been designed to focus on the brix-building nutrients - potassium, calcium, phosphorus and nitrogen. High-analysis kelp (containing natural chelating agents, broad-spectrum nutrition and high levels of growth stimulants) is added to the formulation because of its inherent brix-building and flower-promoting capacity. Fulvic acid is also included to ensure enhanced chelation, nutrient uptake and growth stimulation.
  • The potassium component of the product is 100% soluble for instant satisfaction of potassium deficiencies.
  • The phosphorus component is partly soluble and partly sustained release. This release pattern ensures an even, steady supply of phosphorus to the plant to help reduce fluctuations in plant sugar production (which is dependant on a constant source of available P).
  • Luxury phosphorus levels will not only increase brix readings but will also help to create a more stable brix reading through the day. Consistently high brix levels are required by the plant for maximum production.
  • Calcium is in micronised form and may take between one and four days to be absorbed by the plant. This even release pattern ensures a constant trickle-feed of calcium that will ensure more robust cellular strength and add to the brix-building equation.
  • Nitrogen is supplied in the amine form, which is the most useful form to the plant from bud initiation through to fruit/seed-fill (the reproductive period). The ammine form of nitrogen can absorbed directly into the plant, via the foliage, to make extra chloroplast's with very little metabolic energy expended by the plant. More chlorophyll means more photosynthetic activity and hence more energy for growth and reproduction.

Note:

  • Brixmaster™ has a high specific gravity (149 g / 100 ml). When poured into the spray tank the concentrated product will drop to the bottom very quickly. If the agitation pump is switched on, product may enter the boom in a concentrated form and may cause blockages. This means that a brief manual agitation is required before the agitation pump is agitated. This should prevent concentrated product entering the boom and causing possible nozzle blockages
  • Brixmaster™ contains micronised particles that require constant agitation in order to remain in suspension. Ensure continuous agitation of the spray solution during application.
