MULTI PURPOSE SPRAY ADJUVANT

AgroBest’s Spraytech Oil: Formulated for improving spray efficacy.

AgroBest’s Spraytech Oil is a superior adjuvant manufactured from a vegetable oil base with a unique blend of emulsifiers that have the ability to encapsulate if required, combining the benefits of emulsifiable vegetable oil and non-ionic surfactants. Spraytech Oil is an adjuvant for use with most spraying programs, significantly improving the performance of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and foliar nutrients achieving better results and improved returns.

SURFACTANT

AgroBest’s Spraytech Oil is a superior wetter and activator for two key reasons. Firstly it spreads and sticks due to reduced surface tension of the droplets which allow each droplet to spread over a much greater surface area, (up to 16 times more) than chemical and water. Contact between the pesticide and tissue is greatly increased ensuring much faster uptake. Secondly, vegetable oil is composed mainly of Trigycerides, which is similar to the leaf cuticle wax and insect shells. This similarity of composition increases the bonding and penetration of the water repellant leaf and/or insect cuticle barrier and transportation of the pesticide very effectively into the plant and insect tissue complex.

ENCAPSULATION

AgroBest’s Spraytech Oil is specially formulated that when premixed with a pesticide the oil envelopes each chemical molecule. When this mixture is added to the water in the spray vat the encapsulated chemical goes into suspension. This encapsulated spray mix has many superior characteristics, protecting the chemical from breakdown in the spray vat and out in the field after application, improving uptake and increasing spray efficacy.

DRIFT REDUCTION

AgroBest’s Spraytech Oil delivers a more uniform spray pattern, keeping very fine droplets to a minimum. Droplet desposition onto the target is increased, reducing drift and off target damage. Importantly, Spraytech Oil is much less phytotoxic than mineral oils, making it safe to spray over a wide range of crops.

LOSS AND ODOUR REDUCTION

AgroBest’s Spraytech Oil when used to encapsulate puts a protective film around the pesticide, which minimise's losses while in flight and on the target through reducing evaporation and photodecomposition. Pesticides are more effective and toxic odours associated with some products are reduced. Less leaching of soil applied herbicides.

BUFFER

AgroBest’s Spraytech Oil buffers encapsulated chemicals from neutralisation by hydrolysis and other effects of poor quality water and can be used to tank mix incompatible products when one is encapsulated.

At recommended dose rates is safe to foliage, fruit and crops and is kind to the environment. AGROBEST’S SPRAYTECH OIL IS MADE FROM CANOLA OIL GROWN BY AUSTRALIAN FARMERS AND IS A RENEWABLE RESOURCE.

COMPATIBILITY

AgroBest’s Spraytech Oil is compatible with most commonly used agricultural and horticultural products. Always check the label directions of the product to be mixed. Do not use Spraytech Oil with Delan, Targa, Eurapen, Achieve, Dodine or Lime Sulphur. Check compatibility’s if in doubt and test small area before spraying.

AgroBest’s Spraytech Oil can be added directly to the spray vat in the required quantity when using as a wetting agent and surfactant.

ENCAPSULATION

AgroBest’s Spraytech Oil MUST be pre-mixed with the chemical or foliar spray prior to adding to the spray vat if encapsulation is required.

1. Combine the required amounts of product and Spraytech Oil in a container and mix thoroughly.
2. Add premix to spray vat half filled with water.
3. Top up vat with the required amount of water while agitating continuously.
4. When additional chemicals are required in tank mix, thoroughly mix first chemical and then add the next chemical.
5. If using wettable powders or dispersible granules, add water to the pesticide on a one-to-one basis and mix into a slurry. Add this to the measured amount of Spraytech Oil.
6. Emulsifiable concentrates will encapsulate better if water is added and mixed prior to mixing with Spraytech Oil.
